Well, I'll try this again. Somehow I just deleted my true "first" post. I guess this proves the point I'm about to make: I have no idea what I am doing here! I discovered my first blog about 18 months ago while recovering from surgery. Since then I have become very attached to several, and talk about a few so often that my friends roll their eyes when I say the words "pioneer woman" or "Kalyn says...". Anyway, I decided I would like to try writing one myself. I guess I will figure out what I am doing as I go!
I'm not certain what the focus of my blog will be. I am kind of a random thinker so anything may pop up. These are a few of the things I know I will write about: I am a first grade teacher in an inner city school, I raised a daughter as a single parent (she got married and left my nest empty), I have two wonderful parents, I enjoy cooking for others, I love to read, I had a live donor kidney transplant 18 months ago, I am a diabetic, I want to lose weight, I will turn 50 in 2009, and, I am seeking the Lord's direction for the next phase of my life.
I hope this will be a place where I can share with friends and family. A new adventure to begin this new year!
